MY TIME AT TSUKUBA
First of all I should thank god for letting me choose Tsukuba University Hospital for an Observership in GI surgery.
I had a wonderful time in japan for one month. My days in japan started with morning landing in Narita airport and I took bus from there and landed at Tsukuba Centre. Unfortunately I am not used to a climate of less than 0 degree and I need to wait for more than hour. I waited at a café nearby and they helped me to get in touch with Ms Megumi. All my appreciation in Japan should be extended to Ms Megumi, who helped me in everything starting from my pick up to shopping and she was there for me with helping hands in official matters too.
Tsukuba prefecture and hospital is a world class hospital with all modern technologies and the operating theatre is stuffed with all possible gadgets. They work as a team and doctors and theatre staff work in good harmony and everyone welcomed me with a smile and asked my details!
Regarding my exposure in the GI work, I should sincerely extend my thanks to Prof Ohkochi , Prof Enomotto in helping me learn what I wanted.
I should not forget Dr TAKAYASHI and Dr Daichi in helping me in many matters including my schedule and planning my training.
Over all I wish to join the team again and keep in touch with each faculty member in future. I extend my deepest gratitude to everyone in Tsukuba University hospital
