IMAGINE THE FUTURE: NEW AND MODERN

During my short visit to the University of Tsukuba Hospital in February 2014, I could obtain a lot of interesting information. I joined work at Cardiovascular Surgery Department, observed everyday activities under the supervision of Prof. Hiramatsu and with the help of surgeons, nurses, perfusionists, and resident doctors. And after that I started thinking more and more about our Cardiac Surgery Department at Cho Ray Hospital, how to improve it and make it better and better, and which modifications we need to do. The visit helped me to understand how we can imagine the future, imagine all new and modern in the aspects of our professional life. I can imagine a new and modern Department of Cardiac Surgery, where the patients' care is of the best quality, all congenital heart diseases are cured with perfect outcomes and the patients return to normal life being healthy as they are children again. It is the place, where the Vietnamese and Japanese surgeons can work together. I imagine the information management system, which collects data from the patients, follows up post-operative patients and performs clinical research. I hope, with good cooperation between Cho Ray Hospital and the University of Tsukuba Hospital we can make all these images come true in the near future.
